May 21, 2010 Puzzles at Grandpa Gene's
On this day, Jesse and I attended Ryder's baby shower. James and Jon went to Grandpa's and we met them there later. We picked strawberries and then came in the house to spend some time with Grandpa. I remember days like this with my Grandma and I hope that J&J have similar happy memories.

May 17, 2010 Roses
It rained this day and the roses were gorgeous. We spent the day at the National Air Force Museum and it was pretty impossible to pick just one picture from that outing. This one, though, probably describe my 3 hour experience...
Jon's experience was a bit more relaxing, I think.

May 14, 2010 Zhu Zhu Pets
Are evil little creatures. My favorite is Jesse carrying these guys around in her bag and they will get to chittering and she'll say, "SHUT UP YOU!". It is hysterical.

James wriggles the hook to get it out. Jesse pets the fish.
Squint, boy, squint!!! Get that hook out! I find it absolutely liberating that James can now take the hook out. One more worry off my chest when fishing with them. :D

J&J helped Jon plant flowers in the front flower beds this day. While it is cool that my kids are budding gardeners and flower whisperers, what I find fascinating about this picture is the following: Why is my little girl wearing Spiderman boy underwear?

Good News! At age 5, my son is convinced that scooping poop is fun!!!! Boy does it every day. I'm very blessed. Wonder how long this will last?

Visited the Jones Cattle Farm in the evening.
On this day, James learned how to ride a scooter thingie. He loved it!
May 5, 2010 Dennie and The Tractor
This picture could have been taken 50 years ago. Well, more like 30 years ago and Dennie would have been a wee bit smaller and younger, but yeah, total time warp is happening. We are in Grandpa's garden preparing to plant cucumbers and Dennie is plowing using Grandpa's tractor. It is a beast.

Two things about this picture. 1. See that face? The squint? He comes by it honestly from his momma. 2. On this day, James learned how to cast using that nifty whatamacallit thingie where you have to put your thumb on the line, flip the half circle thingie and cast and release. Wish I was a fisherman so I could be all technical about it, instead I'm a pointer "THTHTHTHAT THING!!!" kinda person when it comes to fishing.

April 30, 2010 Jesse's Birthday
We took Jesse to Donato's Pizza for her birthday dinner. Where she promptly ate all the black olives off her pizza. Girl loves black olives.Her party was the next day.
April 28, 2010 Pea Planting
We planted our started pea plants and seed pea plants. A few days later it was obviously the starter peas got weather shock and we had to replant with new seeds.
