June 28, 2010 Zoo Trip

For dinner we had BBQ chicken and Jon broke out the knives sharpener. He's pretty mean with that thing.

June 27, 2010 Bass Pro Shopping
A morning trip to the Bass Pro Shop for a bobber, ended up with us spending $100 on a fishing pole, two life jackets, bobber and fishing nets. Go figure. Got hooked into that one, didn't I?

June 24, 2010 Boobs and Feet
Jon took this picture, if you can't tell. Jesse is offering me Cheeto's and discussing the possibility of her possibly maybe being able to pick some tomatoes. She couldn't because they weren't ready.
One of my favorite quirks of Jesse's is that she insists on wearing her shoes on the wrong feet....EVERY SINGLE DAY. She knows they are on the wrong foot, but insists that she likes it this way. Different strokes...and her own drummer at that is what I say.

Fun pool time at Uncle Ben's apartment! Ben and Janne bought Jesse her first 2 piece bikini bathing suit. Momma wasn't quite sure how she felt about it. ha!

Jesse has watered down and brushed her hair and now she is working on James' hair. Person hygiene is good to learn early, don't ya think?
June 21, 2010 Aunt Nanny!
Woot Woot! Aunt Nanny is HERE!!! J&J took no time in getting reacquainted with their Aunt Nanny. Me? Loved having my sister with me for two weeks.

My little fly swatter. It is a daily event for J&J to go through the house and catch the flies either by hand or with the fly swatter. They don't kill them, they catch them, then play with them, and sometimes squish them in their exuberance. The dress Jesse is wearing is sized 2T and she is a 4T. She loves to wear her little dresses as tops.

My girl and I at Pine Hill pay lake in Mason, Ohio. She was hot and tired after fishing almost 8 hours. I like to wear Grandpa's white v-neck Hanes t-shirts with my camo capri's to go fishing. I don't know why, but the Hanes shirts have become my wardrobe staple to wear under work clothes and on my days off.

Dinosaurs, pink ponies and turtles! Oh MY! J&J spent the afternoon playing outside where the water on top of the dog cage featured the safe haven for their animals. Whereas the grass was a place of high danger.
They play for hours with these toys. Imagination central.

Reagan and Addison's birthday party was this day and part of the festivities was decorating cowgirl hats. Jesse's rocks.
June 7, 2010 Grandpa's Garden
Jesse is helping Grandpa with the corn. Grandpa was thinning out the extra stalks and pulling dirt into the row to inhibit the growth of weeds. It was good to have him out there with us. He seemed confused on why Jesse stuck with him for over an hour, but she did and non-stop talking to him, asking him questions. I can only imagine the wisdom he imparted to her. I was busy in the bean and pea row pulling weeds. I'd glance back and they'd have their heads together talking. It made my heart smile.
June 6, 2010 Cornhole
J&J played cornhole at Debbie and R.B.'s when we went for Amber and Jasan's Open House. It was a great party. Good visiting, good people, good time. I took 12 oz strawberry jam jars for several couples and extra 4 oz jars for the guests.

May 26, 2010 Gardening
Planting beans!!!
James fascination with bugs is pretty intense.

James is digging up the oil that Jon emptied into the garden. Grandpa overfilled the rototiller with oil and Jon drained it at the edge of the garden. He's really conscientious about stuff like that...

May 24, 2010 Strawberries
Jesse is picking strawberries, but what caught my eye after taking the picture and seeing it on the computer screen, is her two freckles on her head. Too cute!
May 21, 2010 Puzzles at Grandpa Gene's
On this day, Jesse and I attended Ryder's baby shower. James and Jon went to Grandpa's and we met them there later. We picked strawberries and then came in the house to spend some time with Grandpa. I remember days like this with my Grandma and I hope that J&J have similar happy memories.

May 17, 2010 Roses
It rained this day and the roses were gorgeous. We spent the day at the National Air Force Museum and it was pretty impossible to pick just one picture from that outing. This one, though, probably describe my 3 hour experience...
Jon's experience was a bit more relaxing, I think.
